Friday night cinema

So the car's officially a nearly undriveable POS, leaving me home and alone on a Friday night. Luckily, Blockbuster's a half-mile down the street, and I have my Blockbuster Movie Pass (!). So, after wiping your tears away, I need some opinions, gentlemen.

My general rule-of-thumb is, during the week, get a more entertaining, lighter-fared flick that clocks in under two hours (work in the morning...). But that shit goes out the window on weekends, so here are some first-time views I was looking at for Friday and Saturday nights:

-'Brazil'
-'Full Metal Jacket'
-'The Godfather, Part I' (yes, shoot me now)
-'The Shawshank Redemption' (it's been over a decade...)
-'Kill Bill's
-write-in

If y'all had some suggestions or votes, please throw them down; I'm trying to accomplish something of cinematic greatness here, and I figure two or three films this weekend is a starting point. As of now, I'm looking at 'The Godfather' and/or 'Brazil' (LOVED 'Time Bandits'), as Kubrick's classic's actually less than two hours (like 112 mins. or something...), but I await replies. I'd say Godfather Part I. And don't feel bad, I've never seen it either, and I have the set on DVD so I really have no excuse...maybe I'll watch that tonight. Hmmm.

Just watched Full Metal Jacket last night cause of the 'they started out good....' thread and i have to say it is a pretty solid flick all the way through so i would recomend that one.

I've been told I vaguely resemble Private Joker. I think I'll have to see this now.

I'd think 'The Godfather' would be more of a necessity than 'Kill Bill', but alas, both seem to be.
