Just saw this one the other day, not sure if i like it or not. One of the first movies that has me boggled like that. It ran like a lecture but it was one of those lectures that had something to say, plus it has the magnificent M.Streep in it.
Whadya think guys and dolls?

It just seemed liked another preachy movie about the current administration with out anything substantive to actually say. Hate to say it movies need to be more than preachy or anti this or anti that -- an anti Bush movie or anti war movie isn't hard to make -- I'm looking for a movie that makes me think
But I havn't seen the movie I can only base this on what the advertisements showed me

I once heard that 30% of the population was Liberal, so maybe Redford was trying to tap into that market.

The movie definitely had something to say, it seemed like it tried to show all sides of the story and at points it had you (well i can only speak for myself, but for anyone who knows me by now on these boards, i'm not really pro-American foreign politics) thinking about Tom Cruise's Senator's side of things, had you thinking did those two kids die for nothing? I dunno, the movie is so strange in that it just kinda starts and then stops and in the middle you're just cutting from three storylines happening in the same time, definiately interesting in that respect but some characters (the college kid especially) were fucking annoying and some scenes were really eye-rolling, still....first time i can't grade a film so easily...

Yeah, "preachy" would be a perfect way to describe this gawd awful film. I, too, was rolling my eyes all the way thru it just wanting it to end.
