Jason Takes Manhattan!

He doesn't go to Manhattan till like an Hour and Ten minutes into it, so he's there for like 20 minutes. When you hear 'takes Manhattan' you think he kills a bunch of people in Manhattan. When in fact the main characters go there and they get finished off. None the less, this was hilarious and good ol' fun.

Despite the annoying characters and some ridiculous scenes I really enjoyed it, enjoyed all the Friday films actually, simple but fun.

It really had some great things going for it and yeah it did some awesome crap

punching that dude's head off

his ressurection underwater was priceless

and there were two gals that were just great too bad these movies weren't pornos, easily could have been.

but he was too slow and boring with the rest of them, again the fact he's on a boat for that long making it seem that much longer.

Eh I have no problem with seeing a bunch of teens being picked off one by by one on a boat trip...I mean, people get brutally murdered in New York every day, it's not as if Jason's going to make a big impact there....at least, not enough to fill a 70 minute movie.

I did like how they kept in the spirit of F13th pt 2 by having the survivor being the main girl, as well as her love interest, and, of course, the adorable dog!

yep..I have seen it...it's not the best Jason movie. It's not Jason fault it's scrpited that sucks. I do agree with that when Jason knocks off that dudes off. That was pretty sweet

the first Jason movie i got to see in theaters so at the time it was awesome. but i watched it again a couple years ago and yeah, it's pretty bad.

Well you've got my attention over on the General Forums now. You can probably guess that I love this film. Uh.... HOW exactly does Crystal Lake lead to Manhattan? Gotta love the boxing death.

You got it. about 75% takes place on ship the rest in Manhatten with the final chase located in the sewers of New York. The biggest letdown is that if they were going for a fish out of water angle with Jason they should have milked it for all it was worth. Only a couple of scenes namely the incident with the boombox and the death by barrel of rat infested sewage hit the nail on the head.

Well, originally two thirds of the movie took place in Manhattan. But at the last second the budget was drasticaly cut, so they had to make some changes, changing it into 2/3rds on the cruise ship.

The whole point in the script was for Jason to stalk thru Manhattan the same way he stalks through the woods. But, just no budget.

Should Have been titled:

Friday the 13th Part 8: Jason Goes to Manhattan Near the End of this Film.

Would have been better if it was called something not involving Manhattan, so when they get there it's like "Woah. Cool!"

It's like calling Se7en SPOILERRSS
