Anyways I'm looking for some good music from movies.

I agree that LOTR had a memorable soundtrack, but its not the kind of stuff that I would go out and buy to listen to. It's perfect for the movie, but thats pretty much it for me, except for the Shire theme from Fellowship of the Ring, that tune is "Giggidy Giggidy, Al-right!

The Braveheart soundtrack always hit a nerve. (I've even heard a trance/techno remix of it.) I remember Alive had a memorable soundtrack (about the footballers eating eachother in the Andes). Natural Born Killers had a good soundtrack too, especially the placememnt of 'Take the Power Back' in the jailhouse.

That scene was great, song was even better.

"All Along the Watchtower" in 'Forrest Gump' was good.

In terms of scores, some of the older WWII flicks were really good, namely 'The Great Escape' and/or 'Patton'. Jonny Greenwood's work on 'There Will Be Blood' was spectacular, and the credit composition by Haydn (might have been Bach...?) was REALLY nice.

The first "Pirates" was scored by Klaus Badelt, although the guy collaborated with Hans Zimmer on the score - incidentally Badelt also worked with Zimmer on the score for Gladiator, so I guess it's most accurate to say that it's the same TWO guys. Still, some parts of the score ARE strikingly similar. Gladiator rules though.

Yes it is! It's called "Summer Overture" by Clint Mansell and it is by far freaking incredible! One of the best scores I've ever heard!

Have you ever heard Paul Oakenfold's "Zoo York"? It's a sampled version of the song off his Bunka album. It's pretty good.

The Garden State Soundtrack is one of my fav's.

I might be the ONLY person to think this but F it, I REALLY like the song "Cry Little Sister" by Sisters of Mercy off The Lost Boys Soundtrack. I LOVE that song!

The Forrest Gump and Juno soundtracks are the best. I usually own the soundtrack and the movies. I just like to have it all. I already have both the Forrest Gump movie and CD and the Juno CD, now I just gotta go out and get the movie.
