Here we are! Down to the final two movies. The winner of this match is, according to my fellow schmoes, the best horror movie of all time. Dun dun dun...

Well, my 2 favorite horror flicks going head to head.

On one side there is Kurt Russell, Keith David, and other good actors fighting a cool alien. The soundtrack for The Thing is great. Great special f/x too. The spider head, the dogs being ripped apart and the oatmeal guy shoveing his hand into someones face. There are many great spf/x moments. The frozen setting was a really good idea. Kurt Russell plays one of the coolest charectars ever in this flick. A great ending as well.


Halloween has all that The Thing has. Its just done differently. A great score, an awesome villian, and lots of creppy moments. Donald Pleasance does an excellent job as Dr. Loomis and Jamie Lee plays a good heroine. The film feels really realisitic. Michael Myers is my favorite out of all the horror villians. A great intro and finale.


In the end though I think the winner by an inch is:

Yay! The Thing won!! I love Halloween, but The Thing is just an all-around better made film and much cooler and fun. Glad to know others recognized this.
