The first single off “Third” is “Machine Gun”, and the grungy, barely-qualifies-as-a-music-video music video is below. Enjoy, Portishead fans. I know I am. The CD goes up for sale April 29, 2008 in the States.

This is the only song I've heard more than once off the album, and its really growing on me. I went from "its okay" to playing in on repeat several times. I still can't believe this album is getting released in a few days. Seems like I've been wondering if and when this was going to happen for years.

The album has been cirulating the torrent circles for a while.

It's a great album

I know, but there is nothing I love more than waiting for the album to be released and buy it. Only a select few times do I download a album.

They were excellent on Later last week (I'll post the performance in a bit).
On topic, I didn't like Machine Gun when I first heard it, I'm not even sure that you're supposed to, but challenging as it is this track has really grown on me and everything else I've heard makes me suspect that the album (Which I probably shan't be able to get until May 1st, as I want it on LP, and d will have to go to London for it) is going to be REALLY good.

This is one DAMN FINE album. They did change up their sound from the dreamy Dummy and the very static Portishead. And I love what they've done here. It was totally worth the wait.

The stand out for me right now is The Rip. Find me a better song, please.

Listened to the odd track off the album, rather liked some of it.
