I just got this on dvd for $8. It was the first time I've seen this movie and it is great. I loved the story, the weird random things that happen, James Woods did an awesome job with the character. The special effects look dated by todays standards, but they were still good. I was grossed out every time James' stomach opened.

8 bucks is a steal for this one. I'm not sure its a horror movie in the strictest sense. It's sort of a drama/ intrigue. But whatever you call it, Cronenberg delivers the goods.

A must see for all Shmoes but I imagine that most of you have seen it more than once.

Cronenberg is the fuckin man! and this movie is this shit. most prophetic movie to come out of the 80s? hell yea! Cronenberg says he had no intention of so and that makes me have so much more respect for him and his writing
I doubt Arthur C. Clarke or a young Michael Crichton knew that they were inventing technology as they wrote.

Barry Convex may be one of my favorite horror movie bad guys...

this was the last movie he wrote till Existenz (which he claims is the only similarity between the two) which is somewhat derivative of this in subtext.

The criterion collection dvd of Videodrome has a lot of great extras. One of Cronenberg's great films and the visual effects are a kick in the groin to the cgi effects done today.
