So I found these gems when I was packing up to move into a new apartment. These were from the first Gulf War and a pretty good example of how we treated that whole thing like a cartoon.
I mean... trading cards? WTF?

I remember my parents went to Detroit 3 summers ago and bought me a set of playing cards, the one given to the U.S. military troops in Iraq to help identify the high ranking officials with Saddam Hussein being the Ace.
It's remarkable how a violation of international law can turn into a game...

Well you gotta remember trading cards were fucking huge in the nineties especially the early nineties.
I remember buying baseball card packs that had little flag cards in them talking about Gulf War 1.

Is the Norman Schwarzkopf rookie card the equivalence of the Michael Jordan rookie card?

Schwarzopf was a rookie before Vietnam...not sure second lieutenant grunts got playing cards. But if they did, fuck MJ, I want a Stormin' Norman.
