Does anyone remember this?
I own the dvd but have not seen it since it's release. I enjoyed the hell out of it.
I have to give it a re-watch it ASAP.

Yes, I do. I think it's one of the lost horror/comedies that got shuffled under the rug during the 1980s, and now it has become a bona fide cult classic. Grace Jones actually looks hot in this movie (all about the strip dance and her metallic bra and panties.) Chris "what the hell happen to this guy" Makepeace shows up as the awkward dude, that must gather his wits and defeat the vampires and finally get laid. Robert "Weird Science" Rusler is Makepeace's friend who gets a little to "friendly" with Grace Jone's head vampiress and suffers the consequences. Genre favorite Billy Drago makes an appearance, as does Gedde "Long Duk Dong" Watanabe, who basically embodies every typical Asian stereotype (where the filmmakers trying to be racist here, you make the call?) Anyway, while not as strong as Fright Night (however, Vamp did have some really cool makeup effects,) and not as fun as The Lost Boys, Vamp does succeed in being rather entertaining, in a guilty pleasure kind of way. I say check it out

I own the dvd. I seen it once and enjoyed the hell out of it. I just don't remember much of it except grace jones striping and awsome cool looking vampires.
I will have to rewatch it sometime.

poguesfan hit it on right on target i'd have to say, or atleast guess... insanely lost in the shuffle and a missed out on popcorn flick! robert rusler was such a cool actor and i always found him underrated, grace jones freaked me the hell out growing up in this, and it all just works while not taking itself seriously. highly recommended, it deserves so much more recognition.
