I appreciate the fact that I hate Kyuss. Incredibly overrated, in my opinionated opinion. Then again, I'm not big on stoner rock.

I agree, I think they're a bit overrated just because how one-dimensional they are, and not in a good way, like a Motorhead type band is....

Queens blows them out of the water.

Let's just change this to the Queens of the Stone Age Appreciation Thread. I'm sure it will be more popular.

For The Win!

As for Kyuss, I could dig some of their stuff, but I never took a liking to John Garcia as a vocalist. That always kept me from really listening to them. I have to admit, I dig the Queens more but I really think Desert Sessions Vol. 9 and 10 is Homme's best work and collaboration.

How about the Josh Hommes Appreciation thread?

Works for me. Of about the 30 people who have been involved in Queens of the Stone Age, he's the only one who's been involved in every track they've released.

Best Queens album?

My vote is for "Rated R".

(more on topic--my vote for best Kyuss: "Welcome To Sky Valley").
