View Full Version : Should Hillary Clinton stay in the nomination race?

I guess my question is addressed to democrats since republicans want this to go on.

Is the race good for democracy or is it tearing the party apart?

Is it merely revealing Obama's weaknesses and giving republicans more fodder?

Does Clinton make a good case for electability?

No.

Obama won the contests, therefore Obama is the nominee. The end.

I'm sure if you pit Al Gore against Clinton or Obama, he does better than either. That doesn't mean we should hand the nomination to Al Gore because he is electable.

Clinton doesn't have any more arguments because there aren't any arguments that'll make the superdelegates essentially steal the nomination away from Obama.

She was the establishment candidate, the almost-crowned democratic party candidate for YEARS, and she still blew it. What an incompetent woman.

No on all counts, except maybe for tearing the party apart. She should have bowed out a month ago.

No, god no. And if Terry McAuliffe disputes it more, I'm going to figure out a way to break his jaw, just for his popular vote argument. At this point, if Hillary actually stays in and somehow wins it, there's no way she wins in November.

She should run as an independent!

She can do as she pleases, but it won't get her anywhere. What astounds me is that she won't even have a war chest once this thing is over with, yet she continues to win primaries. If anybody else was in her situation, they'd be done by now.

She should drop out for the sake of her party and start campaigning to her supporters to vote Barack and stop this 'I'll go McCain' bullshit. I don't see why superdelegates are continuing to sit around while Clinton is trying to sabotage Obama's nomination along with their chance of winning the general election. The two final primaries are on Tuesday right? Hopefully after that Obama will have a small enough margin to get some superdels to come out and close it.

That lady is nuts. People need to realize Hillary lost this race a while ago. The party needs to take some responsibility and put an end to this. If the Delegates can't end it this week, the Dems are going to look like the spineless intellectuals that Republicans always paint them as in the media. They need to stop acting like they can't make up their mind and fucking end it already. It's getting pathetic watching her act like she deserves the nomination.

They should want it to go on. With all of the Republican party's problems, they need all the help they can get. You can be sure that they are not looking forward to the day when this is over and the Dems officially have a nominee.

Fuck yeah, she needs to drop out. I'm hopeful it will happen within the next day or two. At this point she's just holding Obama back from taking the White House.

She's killing the party and has no business remaining in the race. She's killing her legacy to in the long run and her excuses are done. There's no reasons she should still be in this
