What do you guys think of this movie. I finally watched it a couple days ago and I thought that it was a very good movie myself. I know that there are some very over the top moments (like the infamous eye scene). But I thought that Pacino did great in a role he was really meant to play. Anyone who screams that much needs to play a coach once in a while. Jamie foxx gave a good performance too, as did Dennis Quaid. Over all this movie had a great cast and I thought a great story. Oliver Stone made it in a very interesting way. I personally liked it, but I could see how some people may think it was kind of choppy (the way scenes just cut from one thing to another over and over) I think that really helped set the mood. What do you guys think of this movie?

Haven't seen it in a while but really good movie. Pacino, Diaz and Fox were all outstanding in it. The football scenes are among the best ever filmed. And the supporting cast, everyone from Quaid to Woods, were outstanding.

Everyone was so surprised by Fox's performance in Collateral and Ray but no me. I always knew he could be a great dramatic actor from his performance in this movie. It's like people completely forgot about this movie.

Decent movie, and I can't think of anything more to add that hasn't already been written so far in this thread. I agree with it all.

Wait, I do have something: LT was surprisingly good.

This fine film is criminally underrated. Another great movie by Oliver Stone.

Been a looooooooooooong time since I've seen the movie, but I remember enjoying the hell out of it when I saw it. It's hard to go wrong with Pacino first of all, and the rest of the cast (sans Cameron Diaz - can't stand her) is pretty darn good too. The football scenes are kickass . . . though I don't remember what happens at the end of the flick.

Great cast, and great football scenes... it's the only time I haven't found football boring.

The one thing that cracks me up about this film is the scene with Willie Beamen rapping on a commercial ("My name is Willie"). Jamie Foxx looked so ridiculous in that bit, it makes me laugh every time.

it's about 10 miles over the top but it's really great entertainment. definitely something different from stone.
