I can't think of too many examples at the moment, but the only one I can think of is Blair Witch 2. I actually loved that film.

Hulk is the biggest example I can think of. The first one. I haven't seen the second one yet, but I imagine I'm going to like it as well. But Hulk is one of the most underrated movies to come out recently if you ask me.

Magnolia.

From the five people that I saw it with, I was the only one who loved it.

Wow, the title of this thread completely sums up my love for Armageddon. First of all, I'm not a Bay hater. I enjoy almost all of his movies (for the exception of Pearl) and don't find him to be the anti-christ that most people put him out to be. Bruce Willis is one of my favorite actors of all-time, and I enjoy Buscemi in everything that he does.

That being said, I loved this movie. I've seen it over 50 or 60 times. Between watching it with my dad, putting it on when I'm bored, seeing it on the way down and home from Florida, and catching it on tv. It's one of those movies that I can pop in at any time, or tune into at any time, and keep it on straight to through to the end.

I absoluteley love the fast pacing, humor, endless action, gorgeous looking colors and intense moments. The entire first part, pre space, was my favorite. Seeing the characters one by one and having this rag tag group of oil drillers come together is hysterical. Having a cast that includes Bruce Willis, Billy Bob Thorton, Ben Affleck, Will Patton, Liv Tyler, Steve Buscemi, Owen Wilso, Michael Clarke Duncan, William Fichtner, the GREAT Peter Stormare and two of my favorite underrated actors of all-time: Jason Issacs and Keith David.

Phew, what a cast. It sets out to entertain and does exactly that for me. I loved every second of it. The soundtrack is equally awesome, ranging from Trevor Rabin's gorgeous score to Aerosmith's oscar nominated single and use of their old stuff.. it kept me pumped with the engaging scenes. I loved it. Peter Stormare's russian trapped in a space station and forgotten about is classic.. as are some of the lines.

"Book Of Shadows: Blair Witch 2" - I love this movie, I think it`s a genius sequel and the ending is fantastic.

"Freddy Got Fingered" - I don`t care what anyone says, this movie is a CLASSIC!

"Seed Of Chucky" - Chucky works much better as dark comedy than horror imo.

Anyone who hated Cube after watching it should be stuck in a god damn cube. The movie kicked all sorts of ass (the sequels are another story entirely).

I feel this way more about music than with movies, but SPEED RACER was the shit and it seems to get panned at a great rate.

"Running with Scissors" and "Southland Tales." I can definitely see why people can dislike the latter, but the former, not so much.

Plus, some of my guilty pleasures in my collection:
Nicolas Cage's 90's 'testosterone trilogy' ("The Rock," "Con Air," and "Face/Off")
most of Arnold Schwarzenegger's non-"Terminator" 80's vehicles

Many people seem to dispise "An American Haunting" for some particular reason but I personally find that film to be very intriguing.

Allow me to add Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skulls to the list of movies I loved that everyone else seemed to hate.Well, critics liked it in vast majority; it was only disliked by . . . well, movie nerds (that's not an insult for people who disliked it, by the way, relax).

Not to mention me! I loved it.

Hulk
Magnolia
Seed Of Chucky
Mean Girls
The Island
Matrix Revolutions & Reloaded

I liked all of these movies.

Apparently from the Pixar elimination thread, I want to say I really enjoyed Cars. The sentimentality, and promotion of good sportsmanship and loyalty made this movie shine. I'm an anti-NASCAR fan, and don't really relate to that culture. Cars though, had a solid script that transcended it's stereotyping, and artificiality to being something more real and things that more people should relate to.

It also had a helluva climax, but that's inherent with Pixar films.

Spider-Man 3
Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End

i really liked both of them, i think most people didnt like Spider-Man 3 because of "emo" Peter Parker, but i didnt care about that, everything else in it was awesome, great fight scenes and action, and the rest of the story was really good in my opinion. and i dont know why people didnt like Pirates 3.

edit: Freddy Got Fingered - this movie is fucking hilarious, not because of him jerking off a horse but because of basically everything else, just the way that Gordy talks is hilarious. "I wanna eat chicken burgers!"

Miami Vice

Blasphemy! No one hates Miami Vice. They just hate the name. ;)

Count me in as a huge Vice fan. The action is in the anticipation and intensity. Give me police working without badges over a hundred 100 car pile ups.

I forgot The Last Action Hero!! Good, fun movie!

Yeah, there's nothing wrong with that film to be hated. It was a good twist on the genre, and a nice counter-response to the equally good True Lies.

I know it's really a vocal minority that hated it, but I feel as though I'm constantly berated for my love of Superman Returns. Peter Jackson's King Kong, which shares many similarities to SR, falls into that same category.

I'm also among the Miami Vice, Matrix sequels, and Hulk crowds.

I find myself defending The Science of Sleep fairly often, too.
