View Full Version : The Dark Knight
I thought I wouldnt' like the movie when I saw the trailer. Ledger's face gave me the creep with moldy makeup and highlighted red scar of grin. Not to mention his grungy hair and yellow teeth of a hound fresh out of hell. However, The Dark Knight (http://www.rollingstone.com/reviews/movie/16155928/review/21477208/the_dark_knight?source=movie_reviews_rssfeed) is really a stunning follow up of the 2005's Batman Begins from Christopher Nolan. It is a great summer movie with feverish action, dazzling spectacle, and devilish fun, that you can't miss.

ah- hell no. For one, this is way too early.
And two... I'm sorry, but this thread should not be made by someone with 1 post. We've been discussing this on the upcoming page for over a year (236,011 views / 5134 posts so far) and someone makes The Dark Knight Review thread their first post!?! Again, no offense, but c'mon!
This thread deserves the Bourne101 treatment :P

Does WB really need publicists to go on movie boards for this film at this point?

Less than two weeks till this puppy.

Looking pretty good on RT so far.
I really liked the first one. I doubt it's the cinematic revolution everyone with an internet connection is making it out to be, but I've still got high expectations.

Please wait for the appropriate thread (can't be created more than a week before the movie opens) which will be opened later this week. ;)

lol
Press junkets and screening are already going on. That's about as current as it gets.

OK my homicidal rampage that I threatened so far has not started yet... but if one of you does not get me to a screening in the next 2 days... there could be some DEADLY consequences.

As posted by the moderator of this forum The Other when another thread was opened well earlier than a week before the movie was released:
Yeah, way too early for this. The rule is starting these one week before it's release.
That thread was closed, as were others who followed the same path. The Other probably isn't around at this time and has not closed it yet.

We'll bump this when the esoteric, arbitrary threshold passes then.

No, a new thread will be created by someone who is not a WB publicist trying to promote the movie. Again, The Other has not witnessed the thread yet, but when he does, I'm sure it will be closed.

Nearly every thread on this page was created earlier than a week of release. Hancock, Wall-E, Wanted, Hellboy II.
This thread isn't magically invalidated, and making another is superfluous and a waste of bandwidth.
I reiterate:
BASIC RULES & GUIDELINES:
C) Don't post items that are already there (use search function)
It's not that big of a deal. This one will do.

Yeah, like the day before the week before. Not THREE weeks before.
This thread isn't magically invalidated, and making another is superfluous and a waste of bandwidth.
That's not what has happened in the past. The Other always closed the thread down and did not open it. I expect the same will happen in this situation.

For a movie like this, a proper thread is necessary, not one that has the first 14 posts consisting of people saying it is too early to open.
Just drop it.
