I see something in Topher Grace's acting ability that is still waiting to come out with a seriously meaty role, but maybe I am crazy. What say you?

Agreed.

He fucking ruled on That 70's Show - seriously his "angsty freak-outs" were the best!

And I love his cameo in Oceans Eleven. I really haven't seen him in a lot. But I'd love to see him take one a "seriously meaty role" as you say.

Topher Grace is the fucking man. Besides That 70's Show he was awesome in his cameos in Ocean's 11 and 12.

I also thought he was great in Spider-Man 3. He was pretty much wasted in it but still great.

And I really liked in Win a Date with Tad Hamilton. Not a great by any means but he was great in it.

I really don't think he has found the perfect role yet. I hope he does, because he's a solid comedic and dramatic actor.

Based on the 70s show, I'd say mediocrity, the hot chicks were the real stars of that shit...:D

Actually, my favorite character was Red. Kurtwood Smith rocks!

DUMBASS! :D

Make him the next Batman villain.

I liked him in Traffic, and only otherwise seen him in Spiderman 3 which I thought was really similar to Eric Foreman. He's a likable guy and can probably pull something off, but I don't know why he isn't getting more roles.

Um, Eric is a FAR more likeable guy. His character in Spidey was an real asshole from what I remember.

Yeah, I just mean the smart ass thing he has going. He was like Eric's evil twin or something, not saying they were identical, just thought he was using the same schtick. Jack Nicholson is an asshole in a lot of movies where he reminds you of Jack from movies where he's a nice guy.

I think all he needs is someone to cast him in a non-comedic-non-quipping role that's completely opposite of anything else he's been cast in yet (think Elijah Wood in Sin City) and then we can see how well he shines when he has to prove himself.

Personally, I think he definitely has it in him.

Don't like him.

Was complete trash in Spiderman 3

Make him the next Batman villain.

Like Venom in Spiderman, he can be Bane in Batman... a 'meaty' role. :p

Seriously, though... I don't see anything special in him.

Topher Grace reminds me a lot of a young Tom Hanks, he has shown both good comedic timing as well as solid dramatic chops. I think in the next several years, he'll be choosing some high profile starring projects that he will do very well with.

I agree with the next tom hanks thing. They say SHIA is the next Hanks but i too always have said Grace has the HANKS to make it happen. Plus, he was the ONLY thing good in SpiderMan 3

I think he's got talent. When he left That 70s Show I was pissed. I'm suprised he hasnt been doing much since leaving the show and being in Spider-Man 3.

I thought he was pretty great in In Good Company, and he was solid in Traffic. Didn't like him in Spider-Man 3, but didn't like much about that. He was fine in what I've seen of That 70's Show.

It's too early to call one way or the other I think, so far I'd say he's shown some good potential but hasn't really stood out. I'm curious where he'll go from here and whether he can break out from TV and TV-similar roles, Company was a good step towards that.

Nothing special from the few things I've seen him in. Nothing special about Shia LeBouf IMO either. They're young, and that's about it.
