I only rented this flick because it's a monster movie. I'm seriously pathetic. I'm an unabashed monster geek. I'm sorry, but humans are fucking boring. Anyway, Unearthed turned out to be exceedingly mediocre. It's dotted with plot holes and bland characters. I never thought there would be another small town b-movie involving an ancient Indian burial ground. Wow.

well that road, that road up there leads to the ancient indian burial ground where you best not be burying things because its a plot device.
unearthed is ondemand, in HD too. I just got an HD box and was looking for a movie to try it out with. Is it worth checking out? Hows the red factor?

Well, the visuals are slick, but several nighttime scenes are too dark. I've got an LCD HDTV myself.

Yeah way too dark. Watched this last weekend ondemand and some of the scenes were almost unwatchable because there was no light at all.

I was a huge fan of the director's last film (Dead and Breakfast), but wasn't impressed by Unearthed at all.

Awwww, come on you guys! I thought this was an alright monster movie. Nothing special, but definetly an enjoyable time waster. Better than average characters too - come on, the hot alcoholic sheriff was a great heroine!
And it had Charlie Murphy!
