Even so, it can go into the dvd discussion thread seeing as how that would be far more suited even if the purchase is in a different format.

Let's just stick to the topic. I recently bought The Hanging Woman and Incubus. I was going to review the former, but the tape wouldn't play properly. If only movies were released on a different medium that didn't require tape. Hmm...

Preparing for Halloween, I stocked up on a bunch of horror flicks; classics mostly. They are having a great sale on Amazon and my spree was fueled by the fact that they had the Nightmare on Elm Street collection for $22. So here's the list:
1. The Nightmare on Elm Street Collection
2. An American Werewolf in London
3. The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2-Disc (Original)
4. Carrie
5. Rosemary's Baby
6. Prom Night (Original)
7. The Sentinel
Total, I spent $60, so I made out pretty well.

Last ones I bought (I'm listing three because I can't remember which was the last):
Planet Terror, Death Proof and Halloween.
I haven't seen anything since then that's made me want to buy something...at least horror film wise.

How is "Family", Gretch? I thought the trailer looked interesting, and wanted to Netflick it, but the bf refuses to watch George Wendt as a serial killer (something about ruining Cheers memories for him or something).

I'll throw my opinion at ya. It was decent. A soild 2 outta 4 stars. Its not overly violent or anything. Wendt plays an old fashioned guy thats really nuts. Its much more charectar driven and less about the kills. Its a good way to spend an hour.
I liked John Landis's other MOH, Deer Woman, better though.

Thanks, Ratlehed! I have Deer Woman in my queue now, as well as the other MOH movies Dance Of The Dead (pretty much because it's zombies and a Robert Englund cameo) and Incident On And Off A Mountain Road (which I hope is half as good as the trailer looks).
Seen those, by any chance? ;)

Deer Woman and Sick Girl are my favorites of the bunch.
Incident isnt bad. Its not great but its worth a watch. Its cool to see Angus Scrimm in a non Phantasm role. I didnt see Dance of the Dead.
Valerie on the Stairs was enjoyable. Mainly because Valerie is really hot and she hangs out on the stairs... naked. Also Christopher Lloyd plays a good role and Tony Todd is in it.
I found We All Scream for Ice Cream a little bland. It could've been really cool. The idea is good. The execution is a little off. Same with the Jenifer episode.
