Anyone else see Elvira's Haunted Hills?? I finally saw it this weekend.

I wasnt to immpressed by it. I re-watched Mistress of the Dark and had a good time with that one. But, Haunted Hills just seemed boring. The boob jokes are there and there are a few good one liners. But overall I just didnt get into it.

Its set-up like an old cheaper Hammer flick or one of the Poe/Corman/Price flicks. Theres a castle made out of brick wallpaper and styrofoam. There is also an oversized pendulam (sp?). Creepy graveyards, horse and buggies, and that sort of thing.

Cassandra Peterson pulls off Elvira very nicely. But the jokes and gags dont seem as fresh as the first movie. She does do a song and dance like in the first movie also.

I remember reading Arrow's review when the film was released and I remember being put off by it. I doubt that I'll ever see it, unless I find it at a flea market. Wasn't there supposed to be a "new" Elvira? Where the hell is she?

And as for the new Elvira you spoke of (the one who won the Elvira search show), her name is April Wahlin. She's no Cass Peterson...but then, who is?

Um, I guess that website doesn't take kindly to hotlinking. The picture you posted was gay porn, and I'm assuming that it was supposed to be a picture of that April chick. I don't have anything against lumberjack ass-fucking, but it's not exactly a sight for sore eyes.

The real Elvira is suppossed to be at Eastern State Prison and then at a hotel party this Halloween. In Philadelphia PA. As far as her website says. So I guess she isnt that retired.
