Hey, I thought it would be cool if we as Schmoes tried to narrow down what we feel is the best performance by an actor or actress in the history of films. Nominate a couple and then in 2 weeks we will put the ones with the most votes into a poll... and then decide who is the best... If anyone wants to help me tally em just tell me in your post, or pm me.
Here are a couple of mine...

Brando as Don Vito Corleone in The Godfather
This is my personal favorite, I just think Brando nailed the role in a way no one else could.

Anthony Hopkins as Hannibal Lector in Silence of the Lambs
By far the best villain performance there has been on screen. Hopkins owned the role

Heath Ledger as Joker
I know some may think its all fan boy or whatever, but the more I think about this role the more it amazes me, I do not know who else could have nailed it like he did.
Let the Nominations begin!
