Battle in Seattle (http://www.movietrailerlive.com/ct_0005_BattleinSeattle) stars Woody Harrelson as a tough cop, Ray Liotta as the Mayor of Seattle, and Charlize Theron as a pregnant retail sale clerk that's bludgeoned while running in the crowd. The Stuart Townsend feature film is a dramatization of the real 1999 WTO protests in Seattle.

In December 1999 the media covered the protests against the World Trade Organization (WTO) meeting in Seattle, but most people had no idea how violent this event really was..

I personally don't believe globalization can be stopped, however I was impressed with how this movie actually empowers audiences by showing them what's possible...

This movie asks: do protests have to be violent to work?

No they don't. Either side shouldn't incite viloence just because they think it can get something done. Besides, this movie looks kind of ridiculous.

You would need to stop the internet in order to stop globalization :)

Indeed, like it's been said...this is NOT an Upcoming movie anymore. Feel free to head over to the Current Movie Talk forum. It is, indeed, an interesting topic and is definitely up for healthy discussion.

Having said that...thread closed. Thanks :)
