Hes actually been alot like Van-Damme with his last few flicks in terms of getting alot better. The Russian Specialist which is a recent one of his,was a really awesome action flick.
This obviously looks cheesy as all hell but i'll have to check it out.

I sense it will be insanely cheesy but still, more than ready for this...Direct Contact turned out pretty entertaining so its got hope. I'll be checking/supporting.
One last JCVD & Dolph action flick (individually) needs to happen in theaters...

I pre ordered this. Why? Cause it looks insanely cheesy and insanely badass.

According to director John Hyams the JCVD vs Dolph rematch, UNIVERSAL SOLDIER 3, is scheduled to hit theaters (limited I assume) next February. Stay tuned for confirmation.

YES. FUCKING YYES!!!!
French Blu-ray + DVD on pre-order on Amazon (http://www.amazon.fr/s/ref=nb_ss?__mk_fr_FR=%C5M%C5Z%D5%D1&url=search-alias%3Ddvd&field-keywords=commando+d%27elite+dolph&x=0&y=0) ;)
I'm proud to say that the French edition special features will include not only the promo making of and trailers (not yet sure about the teaser) but a 20 minutes exclusive interview / featurette with "yours truly", illustrated with unseen behind the scenes footage! I saw the cut yesterday and it looks good, not promotional, not cheesy, an honest documentary...:D

i'm actually going to my local blockbuster for the first time, in MONTHS, to rent this. Support your Local Action Hero.
First reviews:
"Violent, fun, loud, and damn good"
"Thoroughly entertaining. This is Dolph’s best in a long time"
"Rock isn’t dead, it’s deadly."
All Outta Bubble Gum, 2 November 2009
"One of the coolest, strangest, funniest fuck-em-up hostage thrillers "
"Command Performance is a tour de force"
"Hands down the most fun you'll have with any action movie being released this year"

Just rented this tonight and finished watching earlier...its alot of cheesy action and a lot of fun. Nowhere near his best but its a very suitable time-passer and I had fun with it. It seemed like everybody had a lot of fun doing the movie, had a nice entertaining vibe throughout.
Direct Contact is one i'd prefer and point out in recommending for a recent, awesome Dolph movie, but this still works.

Oh really? Odd, despite all the action I find DIRECT CONTACT to be abysmal in terms of quality, with what they've got they could have a much better movie.

I just watched this and it was 100 minutes of cheesy fun. Dolph was an 80's style badass, with some 80's style Soviet villains, and over the top 80's style violence. A couple of my favorite parts were:
Dolph playing the guitar, smashing it over the guys head, then stabbing him with the fretboard.
Dolph with the horribly cheesy line "Watch the hair, dude."
Really Dolph Lundgren in general. He is just insanely badass.

I just watched the shit out of this mofo and can definitely say that this is among DOLPH'S best work. I say that because usually his movies fail to live up to my expectations. This time I pretty much got what I hoped for. DOLPH just let himself be a lot more badass than he has in some of his more recent films. He wasn't afraid to get into the violence. In terms of production Command Performance blows away Direct Contact and manages to be more entertaining than the painfully slow Missionary Man. It's not among the greatest action movies of all time or anything but it gets the job done. Hell now I'm even looking forward to Universal Soldier 3 and The Expendables even more. Well thats all for now GOoD JOURNEY my fellow schmoes.
