This is definitley my most anticipated movie of the year and I can't wait. I will definitley be there opening night and hopefully ther shit will be scared out of me! The movies opens one month from tomorrow and it seems like the day will never come! This thread is a little early, but what the hell......it is an "event" movie that many are anticipating.

I cannot wait to see SIGNS. The trailers are creepy as hell and so far M. Night Shymalan is 2 for 2. Unbreakable 9/10 and The Sixth Sense 9/10 were two very good films, and here's hoping that SIGNS will be as good, if not better than them.

I can't wait to see SIGNS as well. It's one of my top 3 most anticipated films of 2002. I love M. Night Shyamalan! THE SIXTH SENSE (10/10) and UNBREAKABLE (8/10) are both great films and some of my all-time faves.

I'm with Ed, I really can't wait anymore either. I'm dying to see this flick! Signs looks like a great movie. The trailers are awesome, and pretty creepy. It's gonna be interesting to see if M. Night Shyamalan's new film can top The Sixth Sense (10/10) and Unbreakable (9/10).

I dunno, I'm sure Signs will be techincally interesting and, yes, it will "scare you" but from the previews it looks to be the same back of tricks shymalan used in the highly overrated 6th Sense: set up a Alvin Schwartz-ish "ghost story" and then proceed to make your audience "jump" by interrupting a spooky silence with a loud noise: hint, when anybody jumps out behind you and makes a loud noise (the kind of uber-creepy foley effect, sort of resembling monster claws scraping across a chalkboard in an echo chamber and then magnified, used in his films) you are probably going to jump. Hint #2, my little sister could do that with exactly the same effect. She could probably tell a halfway decent UFO story, too, but she doesnt have studio backing or Mel Gibson at her disposal (happy face with tongue out).

The thing about his movies is that they are NOT just "jump scare" movies. They involve real, interesting people. His movies work in many different categories and, more so with Unbreakable, he shows us a view of things that is a little "off" and is always interesting.

I'm anticipating signs not because of my interest in Mel Gibson (even if I were into guys, I doubt he would do it for me) but because I want to see Shyamalan's take on the whole crop circle phenomenon. Whatever it is, I have the greatest faith that it will be surprising.

P.S. Nowhere does it EVER say anything about UFOs in regards to this movie. THAT is what is intriguing...

I agree... in the ads there are mysterious crop circles appearing, but not even a mention of UFOs. Of course most audiences will assume it is aliens, but I'm curious to see what tricks Shyamalan is going to pull.

One month away... I can't wait.

The movie looks really cool. Does anybody know the real secret about crop circles. Maybe this movie will have the truth.
