I think there's been more? I'm not sure. I've liked 'em all though! Except Fist of Legend! They messed with the movie, they made alterations. :mad:

I own every single release thus far except for The Rebel, which I think is the most recent.


Pretty big fan. Would like to see them get a hand on some more Johnnie To films as a lot his movies are in dire need of a decent release.


Also....any word on The Killer release that keeps getting delayed/cancelled or whatever the situation may be.

I suspect The Killer will arrive next summer at the earliest, offically making it a 20th anniversary release. The last I heard, they were having some difficulty finding a satisfactory HD master.

As for The Rebel, I purchased it blindly last weekend and it was well worth it. One of the best ass kicking movies of recent memory.

I sort of hope they don't release The Killer. If I buy a double dip I usually trade in my old copy towards the new one, but I have a Criterion copy of the Killer. I would just end up keeping both since I eventually want all of these releases.


One question: Does the coloration of the spine number have any significance? Most of them are red, but some are blue, and one is yellow(Seven Swords) I have tried to figure out a pattern but nothing is coming to mind.

For my foreign review website, I'm actually on a list to receive DD screeners. I've been on since January, and while they're stuff isn't that consistently good, I'm always interested in seeing what they come up with next.

Legend of the Black Scorpion - Exclusive interviews not found elsewhere
Invisible Target - Cast commentary in English + nearly 4 hours of extras
The Rebel - no other known versions

I wish they would do a two disc of City On Fire. Great movie but the R1 that is out sucks. I would also like to see a two disc for The Prodigal Son. Its my fave Kung Fu flick.
