Deerhoof - Offend Maggie

I'm always late to the party and just got this today. Listening as I type this actually. So far, on this first listen I'm taking a liking to the songs more than I did with Friend Opportunity. Still, no matter how many records I've listened to from this band, I still have to listen to them at least 3 times before I can warm up to the vocals. Anyone else heard this one?

Yeah, it's pretty good. I even like the basketball song.

Deerhoof are getting pretty damn seminal with this string of consistently great records they've been releasing. Their decade is so good I'm having trouble deciding upon a peak (hopefully it's yet to come).

If I had to complain about a few things, it's that a lot of the great songs are too short, the title track in particular, and 2 tracks are pure filler, Don't Get Born and This Is God Speaking. That damn Basketball song is unnecessisarily catchy. Even I can't deny that melody in the "rebound rebound ready ok" parts arn't great.
