Casey Affleck and Jessica Alba (The Eye, Idle Hands) are teaming with director Michael Winterbottom for The Killer Inside Me, an adaptation of a novel from noir author Jim Thompson. The story follows a West Texas sheriff (Affleck) and his downward spiral from a boring small-town cop into a ruthless, sociopathic murderer. Alba plays a prostitute (awesome). The novel was made into a 1976 film starring Stacy Keach.

Alba bores me anymore, maybe it's just her being so damn wooden and uncharisimatic that it would probably be boring if she was naked. The film sounds good though just for how awesome Casey Affleck's going to be in the lead role, it sounds fantastic.

I will say that Carla Gugino trumps everyone in Sin City and she does get naked.

Yeah after the amazing 2007 he had; Asasination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford, Gone Baby Gone and DVD release of Lonesome Jim, all amazing movies, looks like he can do no wrong.

This movie sounds very promising and it would be cool to see Alba pull a 180 and actualy give a good performance, but hey if she doesn't atleast she'll be a hooker, lol.

We learned that the awesome Elias Koteas (The Haunting in Connecticut, Zodiac) will be joining Casey Affleck and Jessica Alba in The Killer Inside Me. We've also been told that Michael Winterbottom will be replacing Marc Rocco on directing duties. The final screenplay was written by Andrew Dominik(Jesse James), John Curran and Michael Winterbottom. Published in 1952, "The Killer Inside Me" concerns a deputy sheriff in a West Texas town whose kind Everyman demeanor masks his true dark self. He is slowly revealed as a psychotic killer. Rocco ("Murder in the First") said financing is being finalized for a fall start, subject to casting. Filming begins January in both Oklahoma & New Mexico
