Kanye West -Heartless (http://vimeo.com/2184757?pg=embed&sec=2184757)

This was his official statment on the video
"I DIDN'T LEAK THIS BUT AT LEAST HERE'S A CLEAR VERSION!
THIS VIDEO WAS ROTOSCOPED. WE RECORDED REAL PEOPLE AND THEN HAD 65 ANIMATORS IN HONG KONG HAND DRAW OVER EVERY CELL . INSPIRED BY THE MOVIE "AMERICAN POP" . HYPE SHOWED ME THE MOVIE AND I WAS SOLD."

I really like it, after the train wreck of a video that they call Love Lockdown this is really refreshing and somewhat original.

I didn't even know Love Lockdown had a video --- Didn't think it was bad, though.

This one is really cool. I'm not at all a fan of rotoscoping, but I like it done like this where it actually looks like what it is as opposed to the more realistic look (like those investment commercials...) ---- This really is straight out of American Pop. Good job --- Also nice to see a Hype Williams video that's not obviously a Hype Williams video, read: wide/fisheye lens with the singer in a narrow room singing into the camera...

Great song/video, his new album is shaping up to maybe be his best.

I like the video better than that of Love Lockdown. But I like Love Lockdown better than Heartless. I can't wait for this album, seems great so far.

I liked him more before he became a robot.

I am actually really digging this new stuff from Kanye.

I really dont like the guy as a person but I do think he is very creative and a true music artist. When he first hit the scene I thought of him as a one trick pony (with his style of just speeding up old soul songs) but he has clearly evolved as an artist.

Correction, Blame Kid Cudi, Kanye changed his whole style after meating/working with him, go check out one of his mixtapes, Kanye signed him to his label and has been jockin his style for a while.

I got a chuckle out of that. He's not still doing that so much anymore though, is he? Gotta admit that was a cool and funky look the first several times around...

I'm super out of the loop with music videos, unfortunately. I just know that for a long time anytime you saw that effect in a video, you know it was hype. There were even times later on when I was like, "this is ripping off Hype Williams" then low and behold, it was Hype!

Haha. Seriously though, I'm very out of the loop with videos. Like I said, I didn't even know Love Lockdown had a video until this thread. Actually, though, since this thread, I've seen all of Kanye's videos, when before I only knew of maybe 3 or 4 of them like Gold Digger, Jesus Walks, Stronger, and Flashing Lights.

So please don't ever think twice about recommending me any current videos!

This video is fucking ace.

I hate this type of design in print, but it looks absolutely awesome when animated/realised.
