I popped in Independent Worm Saloon yesterday and it's still one of my favorite albums. Seriously, if you haven't heard it yet then you should. It came out in 93 but it's a classic.

Any body out there a fan of these guys? I wish to hell they'd drop some new songs. I bought Weird Revolution when it came out in 2001 and it's not bad, but they got heavier in to the electric sound which I wasn't too pleased with.

Independent Worm Saloon is so good. I think the group name has maybe hindered the success they deserve.

The only song I like by them is Pepper. I realize it's their big hit, but it's the only song I can stand by them.

I also think the song Cough Syrup is a righteous jam.

I love the first few albums by them when they made weird, chaotic and somewhat disturbing music. Once, they somewhat got popular in the mainstream, it just wasn't the same for me. Independent Worm Saloon and is a decent albums, but for me it just don't compare to Psychic...Powerless..Another Man's Sac, Rembrandt Pussyhorse, Hairway To Steven and one of my favorite album titles ever, Locust Abortion Technician. I didn't like anoy of their other albums. But, still they are probably one of my favorite bands ever and those first four are among some of my favorite albums ever. They remind me of a weirder Talking Heads with even odder noises coming out of nowhere and even more schizophrenic vocals.

Some of my favorite songs are, although all the songs on the first four albums are fun times:

Negro Observer
Gary Floyd
Mexican Caravan
Cowboy Bob
Dum Dum
Creep In The Cellar
Sea Ferring
Strangers Die Everyday
Whirling Hall Of Knives
Sweet Loaf
Human Cannonball
The O-Men
Graveyard (Version 2)
Jimi
John E. Smokes
I Saw An X-Ray Of A Girl Passing Gas
Fart Song
Their cover of Hurdy Gurdy Man
Revolution Part 2
Goofy's Concern
Strawberry
Dust Devil
