Just started listening to them. Pretty good straight rock band. Lots of really catchy tunes. I'm surprised they're not bigger here.

Just finished listening to Youth and Young Manhood. You know as much really like Only By Night and love Because of The times I can see why some would perfer their debut. What a fantastic rock debut album. Very loud straightforward rock thats really really catchy. Trani is an amazing song.

They haven't really released a bad album. Their first two albums are good, but have terrible production which makes me listen to them less. Because of the Times is the album to listen to if you want to get into the band. It's just a fantastic record. Production is good, great atmosphere (especially on the stunning Knocked Up). Caleb's vocals improve immensely. Fans would be my favorite. It's just a great stand up and sing a long song. But truth be told there isn't a bad track on the album.

Only by the Night. This album, is something different. I really really liked the first time I heard it. Then I listened to it again. And liked it. Then I listened to it again. Each time I listen to it, I get more and more disappointed with it. Caleb has talked about how disappointed they are with them not getting big in America and it really shows on their last album. It's ok, but they are leaving their southern rock roots behind for more a poppier rock sound. Crawl and I Want You are real stand outs. The rest of it is just meh.

I hope this band brings back their southern roots into their music, cuz there ain't much of it on ObtN. However, Caleb's voice once again improves on this record.


They are becoming one of my favorite bands and Because of the Times is now one of my favorite albums.

Great great band. One that I hope to see get the respect and fanbase they deserve.

So far Only By The Night is their weakest from what I heard and please note that I really like that album. Youth I think is amazing and Because is great. Like I said i haven't heard their second album yet.


Trani is such an amazing song.

I do hope them not being big here does continue to dog them and get them down. They're huge in the UK hopefully that will satasify them.

Been a Fan since their first album. My favorite is their second, Aha Shake Heartbreak. The newest being my least favorite. I like it, but like JohnG I wish they'd go back to their southern rock styling's.

However, 'Sex on Fire' aside, the new material is not up to their previous 3 albums.

I dislike the commercial road they appear to be going down at the moment.

'The Flaming Lips' never changed their musical genius to shift units - they made us change.
