I grew up with 80s metal so the shits in my blood.

Yeah, W.A.S.P. rocks. Blackie Lawless is a badass vocalist and they keep on putting out good albums. I have yet to listen to Dominator yet though...

Any fans?

Yes! When I first heard their debut album back in '85 it blew me away and still stands as one of my favourite albums of all time.

I've seen then live a few times, in '86, '88, '89 and most recently in '97 and they've always put on a great show.

Good to know there are other 80s rock fans out there - I've just finished the first draft on a semi-autobiogrphical book about growing up in the 80s rock scene in the UK!

I am a passive fan; and their guitarist was the best part of The Decline of Western Civilization Part 2.

Not exactly. They have a song called Animal (Fuck Like A Beast), but you may be getting that confused with the lyrics to Closer by Nine Inch Nails which contains the chorus "I want to fuck you like an animal"

Both great songs, but very different. :)

That was when I discovered them, too. When The Last Command came out I was instantly a fan so I quickly had to track down their debut album.

It took me till '99 before I finally got to see them in concert and when I did it was twice within a one week period.

As far as I'm concerned, their first album (self-titled) is a Classic. "I Wanna Be Somebody" just totally nails the attitudes of the LA bands of the 80's, and it just plain kicks ass as well.

YES YES YES..
Electric Circus was one of my favourite albums of the 80's.. I still know all the words to most of the songs. My walkman practically shredded that tape through over-use. Loved it.
