Like the titles says, what DVDs do you plan to grab on this coming black friday?

So far I plan on getting as gifts: House Season 2 and 3 or if not possible, Gilmore Girls Season 1 (again, not for me, for a lady friend ;), both will be on sale at Best Buy at 14.99), oh and Doctor Who: The Fourth Series

For Me, likely The Bank Job, I Am Legend and a couple others I can't think of right now.

There's a number of titles at CC that I'm going to try to find including: Smokin Aces, Days of Thunder, Ghost, We Are Marshall, Mr. Brooks and Mrs. Doubtfire and a couple seasons of The Office. I've heard rumors that these dvds will be available online, can anybody confirm this?

Yeah, the day after Thanksgiving is the biggest shopping day of the year. If you're suicidal and willing to be homicidal and wait long times in long lines in front of your favorite stores, you might get great deals before others snatch them off the shelves. Then, you have even more fun standing in line for several minutes-to-hours buying those products. Then, fight your way to another store and/or parking lot and do it again!

I'm staying home.

Yeah....I'm also staying home. As far as DVDs on Black Friday, there's never really anything on sale that I dont already have or actually want enough to wake up that early and deal with the chaos. I'll just stick with my DeepDiscount 25% off order I placed a couple days ago to keep my happy

No need to act like you don't know what it is. This was clearly answered and discussed with you in last years Black Friday thread (link below). - I don't get it, were you just looking for an excuse to use the word "yankees"?

Nope, Check out the listing breakdown to the right. There's a ton of DVDs getting slashed in prices here and theere all listed there. I figure you have to ask fast though because amazon could potentially crash from so many people jumping on the deals.

I ended up with 5 of the $2 movies at walmart
The Good Girl
Hollywoodland
Black Dhalia
Boiler Room
Grumpy Old Men

Kung Fu Panda for $6.98 and a three pack of Bachelor Party/ Back to School/ Weekend at Bernies at Target for $3.98 (thats a bargain).

But some of the $2 movies very sad, I mean to see movies like the Departed, V for Vendetta, and History of Violence basically being given away is sad to me.

The Aviator [Blu-ray]
30 Rock: Season 1

From Amazon for less than $35

Best Buy

- Beowulf: Director's Cut
- Forgetting Sarah Marshall
- Michael Clayton
- Stranger than Fiction
- Troy: Director's Cut
- We Own the Night

Circuit City:

- 30 Rock: Season 1
- Amistad
- Children of Men
- Mad Men: Season 1

That's what I purchased today. All the stores I went to were jam-packed with hundreds and hundreds of people, and they were hotter than hell, stuffy, unwalkable, and full of security, cops, strollers, baskets and people (have I mentioned the crowds already?), and just really fucking insane. It was a blast, though. ;)

I only purchased the first season of 30 Rock for 14 dollars.

It kinda puts a damper on the spending spree knowing a person got trampled to death by overzealous (to put it mildly) shoppers. :(

I was completely unaware of this until I watched the local news last night. It's quite sad. The man was only 34 years old, and he didn't deserve to have his life taken in such a brutal way. I don't know if anyone can be done to the crazy, evil, savage shoppers who trampled this innocent man to death, but I hope something is done. What was Wal-Mart selling that was worth killing someone for?

Also, did you hear about the shooting that took place at a Toys 'R' Us over in Palm Desert yesterday? Two men shot and killed each other over (supposedly) an argument between their respective wives/girlfriends. No word on what the two women we're arguing over, but it could very well have revolved around the Black Friday deals at Toys 'R' Us.

Unbelievable.

Yeah I saw both of those stories, one is truly sad and other truly idiotic. I just got done reading about this incident at the same Wal Mart:

"Meanwhile, shopper Jessica Keyes said she miscarried after being knocked down by her fellow shoppers at the same Wal-Mart.

She told the Daily News that paramedics informed her she had lost her unborn child from the violent collision.

"There's nothing we can do. The baby is gone," she quoted the paramedics as saying."

I remember a walmart employee getting killed or it might have just been seriously injured during the tickle me elmo craze in 1996, he was on a ladder putting them on the top shelf and they knocked him off the ladder and trampled him.

Another reason I don't like to shop at walmart they attract all the wrong crowds, you don't hear about employees getting killed at Target or Best Buy in this kind of madness.
