This is one of the few bands I can listen to for hours and not tire of but for some reason I feel like a member of a cult when I mention Flogging Molly to both my friends and acquaintances. Flogging Molly just never seems to pop up on anybody’s radar. Perhaps it's because they're Irish and I subsist in America (then again, almost everyone I meet knows of the "Dropkick Murphies", so there goes that argument), I just don't know. I recently met a lassie who knew of them and even owned "Drunken Lullabies" (we are now dating, ;) ).
If you're among the fan base, speak up!
If you're interested but haven't heard of them:

Eh, not a fan. This wave of Irish/folk rock gets on my nerves. Just not my cup of tea.

Well, being that I'm Irish-American, this music most certainly appeals to me, however, can't say I'm a big fan of Flogging Molly. Most of their songs all sound the same and there is no depth to their songwriting. I have seen them in concert, and they put on a rather good show, but seriously anyone who is playing Irish folk punk, owes a great debt to one of my favorite bands The Pogues. I say check The Pogues out, Shane MacGowan is one of the best songwriters of the last twenty years, not to mention several of Flogging Molly's songs totally rip off The Pogues. But, hey good on you for having some rather good tastes in music my friend, that is definitely a fucking rarity now a days.
If your a fan of FM, I say check out other Irish rock bands like The Tossers, The Prodigals, Blood and Whiskey, Neck, The Young Dubliners, hell I'll even throw in The Real McKenzies for all the Dropkick Murphy fans in the audience.
However for the true innovators check out The Pogues, I went ahead and listed their best albums below, they should be readily available. I say start with the Shane MacGowan era first, then if you want try the post Shane era as well.
Shane MacGowan-era Pogues albums
1. Red Roses For Me
2. Rum, Sodomy and the Lash
3. If I Should Fall From Grace With God
4. Peace and Love
5. Hell's Ditch
Post Shane era albums
1. Waiting For Herb
2. Pogue Mahone
Also, it is a bit hard to find, but if you enjoy The Pogues, then pick up their recently released box set as well, entitled Just Look Them Straight In The Eye and Say Pogue Mahone, contain demos, live recordings, and many rarities.
