The Dangerous Lives of Altar Boys

Has anyone seen this film? it opens this weekend and it stars Jodi Foster, Kieran Culkin and Emile Hirsch and its directed by music video favorite Peter Care. I read a short review of it in my local paper, it seems to be very good! ***1/2 / **** (and my reviewer is negetive alot). It's about kids in the 70's who go to a private Chatholic school, they do drugs to escape their lifes, some of the rest of the film picks off with animation in their head when their stoned which is done by Todd McFarlane!

It sounds pretty darn slick, im checking it out this weekend.

I watched it tonight & was blown away. All 4 of the kid actors have FANTASTIC on screen chemistry. It was really fantastic. My only criticism is that sometimes the plot just seemed to have no real direction. I guess that could be done on purpose to emphasize the way these kids live tghier lives, but I dunno. I think some of the jokes suffered from the drama, and vice versa. Still an amazing film (and very obviously done by a former music video director, haha)

I'm not sure if it's the best film to come out this year (I only saw it a few hours ago & havent really slept on it yet), but it's certainly in the top 3 or so. -Andrew
