How is that Love Is All album out here but not there?

I'm looking forward to the Annie album, I suppose. It's been far too long since her last...I was barely in high school when it made its rounds. Not in love with the single, unfortunately.

But, really, everything pales considerably when placed alongside Animal Collective's "Merriweather Post Pavilion". I've already heard many a hyperbolic comments concerning the content...I'm afraid it may hijack my life for a month or so. Or it could suck, be a bunch of chanting and meowing over rudimentary electronics...but that's not likely.

The Decemberists, a band I should loathe, have a rock opera to follow-up their brilliant last album.

Grizzly Bear's should be shaping up nicely after those two or three live performances showcasing tracks...

Hmph, what else?

Antony Hegarty has one coming in like January but I cannot get into him for whatever reason.

Bonnie Prince does as well...but he does every year.

Franz Ferdinand too...which I'm anticipating but not overly excited for. Again, it's been awhile for them.

I think Peter, Bjorn, & John have a proper pop album forthcoming after whatever the hell "Seaside Party" was. Not a huge fan or anything, but they could have released that instrumental record under another name and not led people a-stray.

Devendra should have one...he's fairly prolific..

I really haven't heard much regarding next year but surely Joanna Newsom and Sufjan has some material prepped?

Oh and Tupac is supposed to be having another album coming out in 2009. From what I understand, it's going to be all originals and no remixes. If that's the case, that's my most anticipated album of the last 5 years or more.

Actually, lukeisevil, it's not Amaru releasing it from what I understand. The word on the street (internet) is that the people who bought Death Row got with it the rights to 13 unreleased Pac songs of their choice, which apparently was a deal Afeni had made with Death Row some time ago, right before they went through their "troubles" which kept the previous owners (suge and company) from exercising the deal.

This is all just rumors and hear say of course. I'll believe it when I see it (Afeni letting someone else actually release a good Pac album that is.)

Rihanna's next hopefully will 2009, and the leaked demos are sounding sooo smash so far!! Hopefully Kelly Clarkson can redeem herself with her newest when it comes too. Christina Milian's Dream in Color should be great too.

I would love to see a new album by Radiohead though I doubt we will see a new one until 2010..Though you never know...Also another solo album by Thom York would be welcome as well...Other then that I really don't know what else I am looking forward to because a lot of bands I listen to are either broken up,dead,or have gotten so bad that I can't even imagine listening to another release by them

Lamb of God "Wrath"- I actually heard a few songs off the albulm and i'm really liking it. I know they were looking to go a different route and you can hear that in a few of the songs. There's a little of an opeth vibe in one of em.

Bury Your Dead- Still a fan even though the original singer left.
