*Almost certainly

I don't watch The X Factor, mainly because, well, I LIKE music and this isn't music. It's karaoke, and fucking mediocre karaoke at that from everything I've ever heard.

However, this version of Hallelujah, by this years 'winner' Alexandra Burke (quotes because winning this competition may well mean that by this time next year she's back on the cabaret circuit) barely even ascends to that level. It's like someone making both Leonard Cohen's and Jeff Buckley's versions bend over and then anally raping them for 3 minutes and 36 seconds. I had no idea you could sing this song without a single discernable emotion.

Dare you listen? (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=daz2wjOI41k)

I like music AND I watch X-Factor, American Idol et al religiously. It's just frivolous entertainment when all is said and done.

Alexendra's version is ridiculously mediocre...as was this years entire competition. I was rooting for JLS and their wholesome soul-pop and sculptured hair.

I don't rate Buckey's version personally...it's just TOO much by-way-of vocal acrobatics for mine ears to handle.

Leona Lewis is proof that the show can find geniune, marketable talent. Whether you enjoy listening to her or not, there is no denying that she CAN sing. I also think she's a nice girl and deserves her success.

i wanted jls to win, they were much better than 'leona lewis.5', another shit generic winner. and jls' version was much much better. i hope she doesn't get the no.1.
