Now I love this entire series, except Part V (most prolly know why), but I was thinking about my personal favorite and it came down to parts IV and VII. Both very different from eachother, but both great in their own ways...
But, overall, I had to go with Part VII as my favorite of the series. Now I'm not saying its the best made or most quality movie in the series, but its the most entertaining and fun to watch. Also, it has my Favorite Final Friday Girl Tina Shepard (played by Lar Park-Lincoln), some may say her psychic powers cheesed things up, but for me, it made things even more enjoyable, somehow it just worked. Also I feel it has the best looking Jason (played by the fan favorite Kane Hodder giving his best performance of Jason), with the chain still around his neck from Jason Lives, clothes all torn, spine visible and skin extremely decayed. My only complaint would be the movie itself being so heavily edited with most of the good stuff taken out. But with some of the uncut versions of earlier entries in the series being released next year, I'm sure The New Blood will have its own, not too far down the road.
What are some of your thoughts on Part VII?

I liked 7. However, I liked all of the ones I've seen so far. The whole psychic powers thing turned out better than I was expecting when I heard about it. I also thought Maddy was kinda cute, but I have a thing for nerdy girls.

ya i agree about the psychic powers, its iffy to throw in there but like i said earlier it just seemed to work and definetly made it more enjoyable.

Good film with a GREAT concept, even if the ending is ridiculous (her dad was down there all that time and they never thought to extract him and give him a proper burial??), but I'll reserve my true judgement when I finally see it Uncut...:D

I really like Part 7. It's like Carrie vs. Jason, which I think it was originally supposed to be. I know that it was originally planned out as Freddy vs Jason, but New Line Cinema and Paramount could not agree on the ending. (Over who wins, most likely. Which I don't get at all, because when New Line finally does get it's hands on Jason's rights, they have him beat out Freddy-the madman that built them up from nothing! What the fudge, man!? Anyways...)
New Blood for me is one of my favorites in the series, along with the Part 2, the Final Chapter, and Jason Lives.

One of my faves, if only for Kane doing what he does best (regardless of cuts). It's a shame that the cut footage may never be restored enough to be integrated into the film. Ah well, that's what HATCHET is for!

Getting an uncut version may not be so far away even if its just a bit more. With the original getting an uncut release this year along with special editions of parts 2-6, and a documentary, it may be next up to the plate:

Thank god! This is the one film in the series that I just may double-dip for, and maybe Pt. 2, I'd have to see how much really got cut out.

I didnt like the ending either. It was to cheesy.
Part 7 used to be my fave. But its probably in the middle of the Friday pack for me. The charectars are a little more bland in this one compared to part 2-4 and 6. The kills are hit and miss. Some are cool and some are boring. Jason looks really good though.

It's a decent Jason movie. The kills were brutal but cut way to short. One of the best looking Jason of the series.
