Even though its title is as misleading as that of Bram Stoker's Dracula (1992), this was, like most other entries in the series, dumb fun.
I still remember first seeing the trailer in the theaters in '89 like it was yesterday.

“You don’t understand! There’s a maniac trying to kill us!”
“Welcome to New York.”
(there's a tidbit that I doubt figures in the travel brochures:D)

Not a good movie by any means, but it is a really fun sequel. Some cool scenes and neat deaths also, it's enjoyable as long as you don't take it serious.

I wish they had kept the original poster of this film, with Jason tearing a knife through the "I Love New York" sign.

Completely ridiculous how suddenly Crystal Lake is somehow connected to a river that takes you all the way to New York City, but whatever, this is F13. Some cool death scenes, and a somewhat decent "death" for Jason stops this from being completely worthless.

It's not as bad as some of the other sequels but it's still an incredibly mediocre movie.

It's also a huge missed opportunity. The idea of Jason slashing his way through New York City sounds like such a fun idea and not only does most of the movie take place on a ship but even when they finally do get to New York he's only going after the survivors of the ship. Such a huge letdown.
