Who has seen or are fans of the Transporter trilogy? While they're not high-art or Oscar caliber films, apart from the great stunt and camera work, I can appreciate them for the action movies which they are. Jason Statham is good as Frank Martin, an ex-military man who now offers his services as a transporter, getting things (usually less than legal) from one place to another with no questions asked. Of course, things don't usually go as planned as Frank finds himself on the outs with the bad guys, who he has to fight at every turn. The movies' fight scenes are fantastically choreographed; if there is a common object in a scene, you be sure it may be used as a weapon and speaking oh which, where else can you see the main character HAVE to remove his clothing in order to use them defensively?. The movies also have touches of humor, sometimes provided by the interaction between Frank and his police associate, Inspector Tarconi. Beside Frank and Tarconi, the only other consistent co-stars are Frank's flashy, gadget-filled cars. The plots for all three movies may have been used time before, but the presence of Jason Statham along with the many fight scenes make for fun viewing.

The Transporter - 8.5/10
The Transporter 2 - 8/10
The Transporter 3 - not seen

I dig them. They're nothing amazing but they're the perfect film to put on when you're too tired to think or simply don't care that much. I'd give both the ones I saw a 7, I haven't seen the third one yet.

I enjoyed all 3 of them.

Actually I originally wasn't a fan of the first two. I especially hated the first one after watching it the first time. Not sure why. The acting, aside from Statham, is overall pretty bad in all three of them, although I do like Amber Valleta and the little kid is actually okay. The french cop is okay too I suppose. Robert Knepper, so great in Prison Break, while not bad, was a disappointment in the third one. On Prison Break, this guy oozes menace but in Transporter 3 he is, at best, merely just adequate.

But bad acting aside, these movies are a blast. The action and fight choreography are frequently inventive and exciting. The car chases are among the best ever. It's the action that is the reason to see these movies and these movies more than deliver the goods. Oh, and Frank Martin is just a badass character. Best character that Statham has played.

I don't know how Transporter 3 did at the boxoffice but I, for one, hope there is a 4th.

All 3 films get a 7/10 from me.

The first two are badass, the third one IMO would have been a lot better with a better female lead. That chick bugged the living shit out of me.

Transporter- 9/10
Transporter 2- 8.5/10
Transporter 3- 6.5/10

I despise part II. Part one was watchable for me, but part II was barf inducing.

IMO, the female lead in 3 is no worse than the female lead from the first one. They are both pretty bad.

But again, the acting is generally pretty bad in these movies but they are still a blast to watch IMO.

I love the Transporter Trilogy. Own the first two on DVD and am waiting for the third to come out on DVD.
Although the acting is generally not that great on all three movies, they are fantastic to watch.
Out of all three i really did not like Transporter 3 that much. Transporter 2 was not as good as first but that is because of some of the most unrealistic stunts ever. One that sticks out for me is when Frank realises there is a bomb stuck underneath his car and he flips it onto a crane and takes the bomb off.

Part 1 was great, but two (and presumably 3) was utter crap. I really would like to know what drugs they were on when they thought it would be "cool" for Statham to remove a bomb from his car by launching from a ramp, flipping, and hitting a crane.

I'll give you that it is totally unbelievable. As much as I hate this response when people tell it to me, "Its a movie." Part of the reason we go to the movies is to see unbelievable things. To be topical, Friday the 13th is completely unbelievable but it is still cool and fun to watch.

I have yet to see the 3rd one but I loved the first 2 because they were unbelievable action movies. I am a fan of Statham as an action hero he is fun to watch kick some ass. I just saw the preview for Crank 2, it looks stupid but fun at the same time. I have to go watch Crank now so I can be caught up in the series.

Overall The Transporter movies are fun and a good watch.

There's nothing wrong with good, stupid fun. The first movie succeeded on that front. The 2nd movie failed when it decided to change its setting to The Matrix. (Though in The Matrix, they never did any stunts that looked as tacky and stupid as the car-ramp-crane one.)

You're right. I can't really fight you on the fact that the stunt looked stupid and tacky. But just because of that stunt I can't take away that movie from Statham. He is still a badass when it comes to action movies.

Jason Statham is the last true action hero. These days, no one can play a badass quite like him.

Transporter 2 is my favorite. I enjoyed the first one, but I thought the second one moved at a better pace.

The third one disapointed me, sad to say. Statham was fine, but the chick he was with was extremely irritating.
