Now maybe it's because this was the first James Bond film I saw in the theater; but DAMN I love this freakin' movie!!!
In my book, Timothy Dalton is the most criminally underrated James Bond. I know License To KIll wasn't as good as this flick; was but that wasn't his fault. I mean, if you read the Ian Fleming novels; James Bond is much darker than the way Connery and Moore played him and I felt that Dalton best exemplified this quality.
But this movie has it all. Awesome dialogue, a great sweeping score, breathtaking locations, cool villains, and that awesome keychain gadget. I felt it was just very intelligently put together.
Thoughts? Anyone else love this movie the way I do?

I actually liked Licence to Kill more than The Living Daylights, but TLD is still a good Bond movie and I agree that Dalton isn't appreciated as much as he should be.
The Bond car kicked ass, yet the movie wasn't overly gadget heavy. The story was good, though I'm not sure the friendly Afghan bit sits well today.
All in all, a good Bond flick.

Dalton is rather underappreciated, but THE most underappreciated Bond of all time has to be George Lazenby. So many peeps don't even know On Her Majesty's Secret Service even exists, and if they do they probably assume it's a Connery film since it took place during that era.
Dalton was brief, but at least he got twice as much screen time as Lazenby got.
Agreed on both The Living Daylights and License to Kill rocking, though.

Havent seen this one in ages, but I remember Bond hanging from a plane that was dropping bags upon bags of opium, that was my favorite scene in the movie. Great stunt.

This was my first Bond film as well, and I rewatched it last year since it'd been so long. Unfortunately, it came across as a pretty bland flick (easily outdone by the balls-to-the-walls Licence to Kill), but I will agree that Dalton never got the appreciation he deserved. He was a romantic but dark and cold Bond, the sort of Bond I can see existing after the end of On Her Majesty's Secret Service.

The best Dalton film, and one of the best Bond films. Maryam D'Abo looks stunning. What's not to like. 8/10.
