Ok so every two or so months I set up a horror movie night at my place where a bunch friends come over and drink some booze and watch around 4 over-the-top horror movies.

The reason for this thread is that I'm running out of ideas for movies to watch. Some of the movies we've watched and liked are movies like Hatchet, the Feast movie, Flight of the Living Dead, you know those really gory just plane fun type of horror movies. I'm trying to find newer movies (1998-present) that can fit that mold of just fun to watch and have some good laughs with good gore and good production quality.

I'll list a few we've seen:

Jack Brooks Monster Slayer
Dance of the Dead
Return of the Living Dead 4 and 5
Hatchet
Lake Placid 2
Feast 1 and 2
Slither
House of the Dead 1 and 2
Gangs of the Dead
Flight of the Living Dead
Trespassers
Shrooms
Grindhouse
The Tooth Fairy
Teeth
Abominable
Big Bad Wolf
There are more but I'm drawing a blank

Do you all have any suggestions?

If you enjoyed Feast, there's 2 sequels now out that are even more over the top. They're better if you're drinking since they can't be taken seriously...

The Tripper is a fun one also, not as over the top, but good drinking movie, with lots of laughs and senseless killing.

Hey thanks for The Tripper recommendation. We watched Feast 2 for our last night and was a big hit so I think we'll start of with #3 next time.

My Name is Bruce would be a good one. It's a really fun, campy movie. I can even give you a drinking game.

Every time Bruce Campbell says or does something to make him come across as an asshole/jackass, take a shot. You'll have a good buzz within the first 15 minutes of screentime.

I would also recommend Slither. It's a movie that doesn't get enough praise. If you like gore gags and laughs, this is right up your alley.

Last one I can think of is Shaun of the Dead. That movie is fucking great! Hilarious sendup of the zombie genre.

Some good ones:

Dog Soliders: Werewolves, lots of shooting, and some good bloody moments. Its like NOTLD 90' meets Predatir meets The Howling. I gave it 3/4 stars. A good guy flick.

Wicked Lake: Lesbian witch/vampires doing there thing at a lake. A dumb movie. But theres lots of nudity and blood. Plus it has a good heavy metal soundtrack.

Poultreygiest: Night of the Chicken Dead: Over the top violent flick about a chicken fast food joint built on top of an old cemetary. From TROMA. Lots of gross out gags and outlandish kills.

Gingerdead Man and Evil Bong are 2 newer flicks from Full Moon. Self explanitory. They arent as bad as some of the other flicks that you've already seen. Like ROTLD 4&5 or the House of the Dead flicks.
