Normally, I would start two new threads for these projects, but since I did not wish to clutter the forum and since the two share a few similarities, I've combined them.
INDIAN SUMMER, based on the book by the same name, will be directed by Joe Wright (Atonement, The Soloist) and will chronicle the last years of British rule in India from the British perspective. Since GHANDI covered the same period from the Indian perspective, it'd be interesting to see things from the British POV.

THE BANG BANG CLUB will cover the true-life story of a team of young journalists who chronicled the last bloody days of apartheid in South Africa. South African documentarian Steve Silver will direct.
