Fade In:

Ext. Narrow Alley – Night

Five injured SOILDERS fly through a trashy, cold alley, running like hell from something, enormous footsteps echo behind them, the sound of pavement being crunched audibly makes its presence made. Two of the SOILDERS carry a third injured one who has his arms around the two SOLDIERS for support. Two quickly follow behind them, carrying assault rifles in hand, a terrified look on their faces.

SOLDIER #4
Jackson! Move! Move!

The last soldier, JACKSON, stumbles about twenty feet behind the two fleeing soldier’s, he is quickly losing his breath. He pants like an animal. Something large swipes an enormous gloved hand behind JACKSON; its fingertips mount five-inch steel claws through the glove. JACKSON gets scratched lightly in the back, the thing’s claws ripping through his pack, spilling its contents onto the alley’s pavement. He stumbles forward and blindly fires his assault rifle over his shoulder, it moves wildly as he only controls it with one hand. The gloved hand moves closer to JACKSON, the sound of the thing moving becomes swifter as it moves in, revealing a tree trunk-like, muscular arm. With a quick swipe, it crushes JACKSON against the alley’s wall with a sickening crunch and moves with speed to catch up with the others.

INT. Coffee House – Night
One of the four remaining soldiers kick open the door to the Coffee House and rush in. The place is scattered with coffee mugs and spilt coffee and something thicker, most likely blood. A glass case next to a register displays old pastries that were never eaten and something shambles around in the back.

SOLDIER #3
Rot!

SOLDIER #2, one of the soldiers carrying the wounded man, moves from the wounded Soldier #3 and brings up a pistol to bear on what looks like a shambling zombie wearing a coffee house apron. The creature moans and is quickly silenced by two holes that appear on its skull, it tips over, dead, again.

SOLDIER #2
Lock the fucking door!

SOLDIER #3
Don’t worry about me. Get the door!

Soldier’s #1 and #4 slam the door shut and quickly begin to stack tables and chairs near the door in attempt to create a firm barrier. Silence. The Soldier’s ready their assault rifles and replace clips while maintaining the relative silence. They scan the room and Soldier #2 pulls the back door to the kitchen shut, then pulls a large rack containing several dozen mugs in front of it, then another rack, followed by a chair, mugs crash to the ground. Soldier #4 tends to SOLDIER #3’s wounds, he appears to have been cut open on his chest and there is a long gash across his stomach. SOLDIER #4 hastily wraps the wounds in gauze and stands up; he readies his assault rifle while handing SOLDIER #3 a handgun.

SOLDIER #1
So what do we do? Wait to be killed?

SOLDIER #2
Shaddap, shaddap, let me think.

SOLDIER #4
Justin’s bleeding, bad. We need to get him out of here.

SOLDIER #2
Ok well we could try to make a run through the back of this pl…

SOLDIER #2 is cut short as something hits the side wall, hard, a layer of bricks come clattering to the ground. The SOLDIER’s raise their weapons quickly. BANG. Another layer falls and something large, apparently in a black outfit moves quickly as viewed through a newly formed hole in the wall. SOLDIER’s #3 and #4, open fire, tearing into the large thing as it hits the wall once more and it comes down in shower of bricks and dust. The remaining soldiers open fire as it steps into the room, three hundred pounds of pure muscle, as tall as the ceiling and its face covered by a large ski mask, but two large, bulbous, bloodshot, fluorescent blue eyes pierce the mask. The THING’s eyes dart around the room like an insect, apparently oblivious to the many rounds that sink into its body. It pulls an abnormally large gun from its back, obviously custom made for the creature, it raises the gun and fires an enormous burst shot tearing into SOLDIER’s #3 and #4, immediately killing both. SOLDIER’s #1 and #2 stop firing and look at each other; they scramble to push away the junk from the back door. The THING hesitates for a moment, reveling in its kills, what appears to be a smile from under the ski mask as it turns to its other prey. The THING opens up the gun and raises it up, a smoking end of a large shell falls to the ground, and it reaches for another at its belt. SOLDIER’s #1 and #2 manage to knock down the last shelf and stumble over it to the door. The THING finishes loading the shell as SOLDIER #1 makes it through the door and promptly closes it. The THING moves the gun to fire and shoots, the shot slamming into the door.

INT. Coffee House Kitchen – Night

A shock hits the door as SOLDIER #1 tries to hold it closed, shrapnel moves through the door and hits SOLDIER #1 in the leg.

SOLDIER #1
AJ!

AJ is in full run around the kitchen and punches a fat zombie that pops up behind a stove, its eyes missing from its decomposed head. It topples over. AJ stops short of the back door and nearly slips when he hears his name being called. He runs back over to SOLDIER #1 and yanks him onto his feet. He half drags, half helps him to the back door and swings it open. The THING busts open the back door to the Kitchen and moves swiftly toward the fleeing men.

EXT. Coffee House Alley – Night

SOLDIER #1 and AJ move quickly down the alley, moving as fast as they can. They take a right turn and stumble on three zombies feasting on a fourth near a dumpster, they dart past the zombies and press on. The THING flies into the wall at the turn, it breaks through the wall and into another building but pulls itself out and moves after the men, swatting away the pitiful zombies in its way into both sides of the alley walls. The creature raises its gun once more and fires a round, the shrapnel visibly moving through the alley and hitting SOLDIER #1 dead on while only grazing AJ’s left arm. SOLDIER #1 crashes to the ground, badly wounded, almost taking AJ with him. AJ, terror in his eyes dives into a side path of the alley, darkness covering him as he retreats. The THING moves slowly toward SOLDIER #1 who, manages to flip his body around to take a look at the THING. He pulls his pistol from his side and brings it up, moving it steadily to point at his head. His hand is knocked away by a large boot, which immediately crushes his arm. The THING moves his clawed hand slowly down to SOLDIER #1’s stomach, a smile on its crazed face as it moves its arm. A ghastly scream is let loose as a terrified AJ is seen running into the night, holding his wounded arm close.

Would love some feedback, as you probally guessed this is my take on a Resident Evil script, well set a few weeks past the initial incident

First off, welcome to the boards SpyderB.

And Second, wow, thats an amazingly descriptive script you have there.
You had me from the beginning, and didn't let go. At first i would've thought that it was some kind of futuristic movie.
That robotic arm, chasing soldiers down the back alley's, was great. Then you threw in a zombie or two, and blew it out of the park.
While i think it could make quite an amazing original story, and i think it should stay that way in my opinion, and there is certainly nothing wrong with doing a take on Resident Evil, or what have you. But i think you should try to make it your own, and leave Resident Evil in the dust.
But, thats entirely up to you.

Once again, good job.
I look forward to reading more, if you set it up on this post.

Ciao

Yeah, I agree with RavenBlade. You should make the script an original, because the thing chasing the soldiers couldn't have been a Tyrant. There were only two sent into the city in Resident Evil 2 and 3; Nemesis for the S.T.A.R.S and Mr. X for the G-Virus. There wasn't a mention of a third, unless of course it isn't a Tyrant, instead a licker, drain deimos or something like that. Anyway, I really liked this and think it's an awesome homage to the games. Keep at it.

Thanks for the feedback guys, and thanks for the welcome Raven, and I think you may have struck a chord in me, I might just make it something nice an original instead of a RE homage script. Just need to think of a plausable excuse for the monsters, zombies etc etc. And I don't make it a mindf*ck movie, too too many of those springing up all over the place.
Well off to write some more,
Thanks again.
