Well it all started around the year 2000 when the 20th Century Fox bought the rights to Dragonball. But since they are complete fucking retards, they didnt make a movie at the height of the series' popularity and waited 8 years. And it isnt taken from any comic book. The dumbfuck writers made their own story that barely follows any storyline throughout the manga. 100s of characters, locations, integral plot points have been cut. The movie is hardly recognizable as a "Dragonball" film except for the names.

There really isnt a reason for all changes made in this film. It would be one thing if they had improved the story in some way from the manga, because as it is well loved by millions of fans, one would be ignorant to say the Dragonball story is anything special and downright silly. It is however very original, and the outcome is a MUCH MUCH worse story in this film. The reviews and reactions in Asia are already horrid at best. The movie looks and plays like a terrible Sci-Fi Channel movie. It isnt not a good movie, let alone a faithful adaptation. It isnt true enough (NOT AT ALL) to the source material to please fans, and not good in any way to please casual movie-goers, at least not ones that would have been pleased with a strictly literal adaptation. It is understandable that liberties must be taken in adaptations, but this is proposterous. So the movie can have a transforming lady (Mai), but cant have a lady with blue fucking hair? (Bulma)? Where the fuck is the logic in that?

It is completely normal that you would be excited for a Dragonball movie, fishi. And I understand this movie is trying to pretend that it is based off of the Dragonball movie, but IT IS NOT. I myself have wanted a live action DB movie for as long as I can remember. But we will have to wait even longer now that Fox has yet again raped us fanboys. So for now, all we can do is Boycott this cheap imitation of an actual Dragonball movie. If you are really curious, watch it now online or at least pay for another ticket at the theater. But please, whatever you do, make sure this god-awful peice-of-shit "film" never touches any of your money.
