got such a kick out of watching the original scanners again on ifc two nights ago...yes stephen lack is wooden like actor martin donovan but it works for the film....then I went to see what was up with jennifer o'neill and went to her website from imdbpro and found out to my HORROR that she's some sort of
jesus freak living in the deep south now with a ministry and everything...

oh well...and I was thinking of trying to get her a film job in something called

Truly an incredible film. The rest of the series... well... nothing else could compare. If they released a decent dvd I would definitely pick it up. I think it had a bare bones release a while ago but that film really needs a collector's edition. Yes Lack was wooden as shit (his performance is what keeps me from giving it a perfect score) but Michael Ironside picks up the slack. Great story. Makes me want to check out more Cronenberg films. Funny enough I just watched this on IFC Friday night too. Scanners isn't my favorite Cronenberg film but it is certainly high on the list. Can you really go wrong with Michael Ironside as a villain?
