I was thinking about a script that would a post apocalyptic gang drama. About a mercenary named Everett Gooding sent into the worst city in this "world" (haven't thought of a name for the 'world'). The city is called Three Staff. Ran by a overpowering tyrant name William Cooper. And as the story goes on and unfolds we learn more and more about this world and the strange connection between Cooper and Gooding all coming together in a huge action full, gang shoot out ending up with the fight between good and evil.
I haven't gave it that much thought. Just wanted to know what a few of you thought before I think the rest of it up.

I like it, but I'd say make it futuristic gangs you know, not like Boys N' The Hood In the Futur, make it like a Godfather kind of gang, but tha'ts just my thought, but still sounds pretty good go for it

JAS,
Well the type of story has been done, but so have romantic comedies and they keep making those http://www.joblo.com/ubb/biggrin.gif. If you got a story here that you really want to tell, then you should write it. I got a question: How attached to the name 'William Cooper' are you for your villain?? The reason is that there was a William Cooper who was killed last year in a shoot out with lawmen in Arizona. This William Cooper was adored by people who are (probably correctly) convinced that the U.S. Government has gone foul and become abusive towards people's rights. he wrote a couple of books, hosted a website and was a personality among those who follow so-called Conspiracy 'Theories'.
If you use the name William Cooper a lot of these folks might think that you're a hired agent of the gubbmint, making a thinly veiled propaganda flick out to slander their hero --> and by association them. So you might get some undue criticism from them, just over that name. My friendly advice is find a new name if you're not attached to the name 'William Cooper' for your villain. It may save you some hassles from these folks, or hell, maybe they'll never notice, (but they do tend to be drawn to post-apocolyptic films).
However, if you got your heart set on that name then go ahead and use it anyway--> After all, that's why God invented the 'no relation to any persons living or dead' disclaimer.
Chills,

OH jeez, I didn't know. I'll change the name, that's not a problem.
