I'm going to be in Los Angeles on Friday, April 17th - Sunday and its just in time for Fangoria's Weekend of Horrors (http://www.creationent.com/cal/fangocon/fangola.asp)! I won a free trip to LA to see god damn Britney Spears, but free airfare, cash, and the amazing hotel right next to the Convention Center is well worth it!

I've never been to anthing like this before, so I'm pretty excited! I was reading some threads about other conventions that some of you schmoes have attended, and it sounds really fun and I cant wait! Is anybody going? I'll definitely be posting some pictures as well!

Wow, congrats! I'm guessing you're not going to be seeing Britney then after all?

I subscribed to Fangoria for about 10 years. Great mag. I can't go to something like this, cus I live on that remote island known as the land down under. Yeah, down under everything else...lol

Sounds like a blast. Have fun! :)

Heh well we're thinking we might try to sell them and get some extra cash, (show is sold out, and the seats are amazing!) otherwise we're going to get hammered and go. It's on Friday, so no matter what we'll have the whole weekend in LA to do whatever. I've never been, so I'm very excited! Thanks guys... I wish you could go! We could have a little horror schmoe reunion! ;)

Be modest when you go, Linds, otherwise some of the more has-been horror stars might fall in love with you and wander off from their tables...;)

Cool for you. They do one in NYC. Its pretty close for me. But, I never made that trip. One piece of convention advice I can give- Wear comfortable clothes. There's lots of standing in lines going on.

Looks like some cool guests will be there. Make sure to stop by Tiffany Shepis's table. She's a really nice girl and cool to talk to.

Brittany is probably scary than anything at the Fango Con.

Oh, ditto... Prepare for lots of standing in lines and being bored out of your mind while doing so.

But people watching at a horror con is always fun.

Also, I met Danielle Harris twice. She always has the most "interesting" people in her lines. Or I just happened to get stuck next to the most obnoxious people in her line both times. So if you have time you should meet her too.

The People-Watching has become an instant memory-making part of my convention goings in general, you're quite true on that haha.

Nah. Take my advice. The best thing to wear at a convention: Nothing. You get through the lines faster and even get to go home with one of your idols. Of course, it kinda sucks when it's Corey Haim...
