Has anyone seen this 1990 movie? I say see it if you can, why? It makes me question the point of a Captain America movie at all. Not based on the quality of the 1990 version, but based on the idea that I don't personally have a desire to see one. Oddly enough, you can add The Flash, Green Lantern, Thor (or at lest the way Universal has decided to do it), Avengers and Wonder Women to that list. In my opinion, I don't see those characters working on screen or needing movies. After seeing Watchmen and thinking, "if they had never made a movie I would have been okay", I think that about some of these others planned. It almost seems like some of these movies (Watchmen, Ghost Rider) take away from the comic.

Just my two cents.

Oh yes, it was horrible.
Not as bad as the Captain America made for TV movie with Reb Brown, but pretty damned bad.
When you have an Italian Red Skull, you know someone read the script wrong and the rest of the movie is going to be a problem.

I actually can't wait for a good Captain America movie, or a movie for all those other characters.

The Supreme Headquarters, International Espionage, Law-Enforcement Division and/or the Strategic Hazard Intervention, Espionage Logistics Directorate and/or the Strategic Homeland Intervention, Enforcement, and Logistics Division approve of the rant.

Maybe the fact that Captain America, Green Lantern and Thor will all be box office hits has something to do with it. But seriously, Marve and DC want to make movies of many of their characters. I say let em. Captain America will easily work as a movie if they do it seriously and not campy.

Personally I never really got into comic books that much so it doesn't bother me at all because if they make a comic book into a movie and it looks good to me then I will see it...regardless if it is accurate to the source matrial or not
