Another Chiller done for me. This one was pretty good. Not as full as usual. Probably because there was no huge names this time around. But I got to meet all the people I wanted to fairly quickly.

The first guest I met was Ruby LaRocca. She's mostly in softcore parody flicks like Spiderbabe and Lord of the G-Strings. She's also in the horror films The Lost and Flesh for the Beast. I bought the new Seduction Cinema flick form her- Batbabe: The Dark Nightie.

Then I met up with Darian Caine again. I had her sign Batbabe and I got a copy of her new flick The Insatiable Ironbabe.

I got E.G. Daily to sign my Powerpuff Girls boxset. She was pushing her new film "My Sisters Keeper". Which comes out this summer.

I also met Ami Dolenz. From such films as Ticks, Pumpkinhead 2, Witchboard 2, Children of the Night, and Cant Buy Me Love. She was a really nice girl. But her Manager made her charge $25 to get a photo with her even if you bought an autograph. She was in some cool movies and she's hot but it wasnt worth the extra $25. So I just had her sign a cool Witchboard pic she was selling. I picked up the film Ticks at the con on DVDr, as well.

My friends met Lou Ferrigno, Corbin Bernsen, William Forsythe, Tom Towles, and the really tall guy that played Lurch in the new Addams Family films.

I also picked up the Halloween 3 soundtrack. Its got some cool music. I got some weird Japan film called Executive Koala. It about a koala man who is framed for killing his girlfriend. It looks like it could be okay.

I also saw Tom Savini walkimg aorund. He wasnt a guest. He was just shopping.

It was a good con overall. Hopefully the Oct. show has more horror guests though.

I want to meet Ami Dolenz eventually...but $25 for a photo-op in any way, shape or form is beyond laughable.

Also, I met Demolition AX and SMASH. I got a cool photo signed by them. But, they had some jackass manager guy with them. He wanted $20 to just get a pic with them as well. I passed. Demolition had thier makeup on. But it didnt look that good. They where nice guys though.

To charge anything for a photo-op is crazy. My friend met Edward James Olmos from the Battlestar Galactica TV series. That guy charged $50 for an auto plus $25 for the photo-op. Thats insane and insulting.

Glad you had a good time dude but man, some of these people need to get their heads out of their asses. I mean who is Ami Dolenz to be charging an extra $25 for a pic? $25 for an autograph is already too much consider she didn't star in any really major films. If you get an auto the picture should be free. The only time that happened to me is when I got Linnea Quigley to sign my ELM STREET 4 poster and she charged me $5 for a picture. Pretty lame but at least it was only $5. Luckily Monster Mania forbids that from happening because some people need a reality check. Well thats all for now GOoD JOURNEY my fellow schmoes.

I'm anxious to meet Demolition, but i'm waiting until Wizard Comic-Con comes to Philly in June...Ted DiBiase is also going to be there whom i'm going to be damn happy to meet.

I'm beyond glad I didn't waste all my traveling expenses to go to the con, if all of the people were trying to charge for photo-op's,ESPICIALLY when you have something signed by them. Dolenz was one of the ones I wanted to meet too. And than I noticed Tom Atkins had to cancel and he was a huge must get for me.

Now it is back to hoping Monster Mania grabs some new names.

Since this thread is amazingly popular. I stole my friend Jons picks to put up.

The Miner from MBV3D. He was a nice guy.

Carel Struycken.Lurch from the newer Addams Family films. He was also the baddie in one of the Ewoks movies. Plus, he was the killer in The Prey. A really cool and very tall dude.

James Duval. From May and Donnie Darko. He was a cheerful guy.

Erin Gray from Jason Goes to Hell and alot of other stuff.

Your friend paid $70 for Olmos? Unreal....I want to eventually meet Carel to sign something Twin Peaks related.

Carel was one of the people I was interested in meeting because I liked him in The Prey and also because... well he's over seven feet tall which is pretty cool in and of itself. James Duval would have been neat to meet just because he played Randy Quaid's son in Independence Day. Yeah, I can really see the family resemblance there.

SPOILERS FOR MY BLOODY VALENTINE 3-D!!

Unfortunately, Richard Walters, who Chiller had advertised as The Miner from MBV 3-D did not play the Miner at all. He only played Harry Warden. They had Chris Carnel (who was the real man underneath the suit) at Monster Mania and I asked him why two people were being listed as The Miner and he was baffled. He told me that he was the only one to don the suit and do all the stuntwork and didn't even realize that someone else was being credited with the roll. It's confusing. Carnel is listed as The Miner on IMDB while Walters is listed as Harry Warden/The Miner. Perhaps it was done that way to fool the internet audience into thinking that Harry Warden was the killer when he really wasn't.

Well thats all for now GOoD JOURNEY my fellow schmoes.

A little bit of Friday the 13th part 2 going on there. I thought the guy was pretty old looking to do the stunts for the Miner. When I read it I thought that Richard Walters only did the big stunt scenes. I didnt know he played the Miner the whole film.
