Can anyone find the Road To Perdition BOFC winners over at Lee's Movie Info? It's the second week in a row that I can't find the winners....
I haven't seen them yet either Horror Whore... But I was way off anyway so I'm not too excited about finding out.
Anyway, I'm kind of excited about tomorrows numbers. I'm hoping EIGHT LEGGED FREAKS will be #1 for Wednesday's B.O. and I think it has a pretty good shot...
What do you guys think?

Same here too. But I don't have a problem with David Arquette. I mean, the dude doesn't think he's Bruce Willis and doesn't act like it either. But I do see, why people wouldn't like him.
The trailer for the flick got me all excited to see it.
"Do you really hate spiders"?
Well, yeah.
"Well...they don't like you either".
Marvelous! I'm dying to see it, and I know it ain't gonna be on my top 10 at the end of the year, but it really seems like a fun movie.
According to leesmovieinfo.com EIGHT LEGGED FREAKS only grossed 1.4 Million dollars on Wednesday. I wonder how many theaters it's showing at right now because all of the theaters around here aren't starting it until Friday...
[This message has been edited by Mike (edited 07-18-2002).]
According to boxofficeguru.com EIGHT LEGGED FREAKS bowed in 2,402 theaters on Wednesday and expands to 2,530 on Friday.

I can't believe Eight Legged Freaks is doing so badly. It's going to be an enourmous flop, and I thought it looked like a sure-fire hit... The flick has an $596 average per theater. Looks like it's going to have a hard time reaching 30 million.
Also, Reign Of Fire is going to have a bumpy road reaching 50-60 million. The flick won't break even before DVD and VHS market... If even then...

I can understand that, but how the heck can this bomb, and a truly atrocious film like Deeds cash out?

Despite mega promotion in theaters, Sony disappointed on opening day
with their family adventure, Stuart Little 2. The film raked in just $5.3
million on Friday, averaging a weak $1,633 per-screen compared to
$3,000 - 4,000, which it had the definite potential to generate. SL2 opened
just a notch above its original, which took in $3.7 million opening day
for $1,281 per-screen. The original Stuart Little did not premiere
during summer, allowing its second day haul to see a major boost to $6.3
million in ticket sales. Being as though Saturday is practically just
like Friday for kiddies, Stuart Little 2 may not see a hyper second day
lift, but could still score a disappointing $16 - 22 million for the
3-day frame.
Harrison Ford once again proved that he's not an actor who can
definitely attract audiences in a second, as his submarine thriller, K-19,
debuted dead-on with Random Hearts with a single day earning of $4.0
million in the bank. Playing in 2,828 venues, the film averaged a modest
$1,423 per-site, compared to the $4.1 million gross and $1,509 average by
Hearts. K-19 should see a weekend tally of $12 - 14 million.
Running along Kung Pow business on its third day in release, Eight
Legged Freaks turned in $2.2 million for a weak $875 per-location in a wide
2,530 venues. The David Arquette action film looks to complete the
3-day frame grossing $6.5 - 7.5 million.

Well, those numbers are quite surprising. I expected Stuart Little 2 to do much more than $5.3 million. It looks like Sony is in for a disappointment.
K-19 is going to sink all the way to hell. Damn! And that was such a great movie too. Hmm... I guess Harrison Ford is not an actor that will always draw in the crowds.
Eight Legged Freaks is going to be another bomb as well. But really, did any of you guys think otherwise? I mean, I knew right from the start the movie was going to die a horrible death at the box-office.

Apart from the screams has David Arquette ever been in a film which hasn't bombed? He is a terrible actor.

Way to go for Tom Hanks. If he doesn't get some kind of nod for his role, I'll really let the Academy have it!!
And Eight Legged Freaks - haha, I knew it from day one. Bad story, bad acting, bad movie!! There is no way it will make its $30 mil budget back. THIS is the bomb of the year.

Good for you Nate. ROAD TO PERDITION isn't playing around me and I think it has to with the fact that I live in a very religious area and the film has "Perdition" in the title which, as we all know, means eternal damnation or Hell. Fuck this theater http://www.joblo.com/ubb/mad.gif

With a low $30M budget, this movie should be close to breaking even when all is said and done. The biggest bomb of the year is "Windtalkers" with a budget of $150M and barely grossing $40M so far
