As for her comment, I can't say I have any sympathy. If she wasn't so beautiful, would anyone even know who she is?

It may limit her in some ways yes but let's be honest, she owes most of her success to her looks (not that beautiful women can't also be great actresses, I've always found Biel to be competent but not great in the acting department)

She should find a role that requires her to be unattractive - it worked for Charlize Theron (Monster) and Nicole Kidman (The Hours)!

Being pretty IS a problem for actresses, but only if they have no talent. There are a lot of pretty actresses out there, but they're able to overcome any typecasting and earn some serious, deep roles because of their ability to act. So yeah, we don't look at her as anything more than eye candy... a glorified Maxim girl. Yet, we have the utmost respect for women who are equally (or more) attractive, like Halle Berry or Charlize Theron.

And here's the thing: Looks NEVER held any one back. If someone was beautiful, but had talent, then that talent eventually emerges because someone gives them a chance. It hasn't happened for Biel, and it probably never will. Why? Because she's not talented.
