I thought this was funny...

After hearing Christian Bale's rant on the set of "Terminator Salvation," you would think that the actor is very intense and passionate about his acting. But according to him, it's just the opposite.

"I fall asleep on sets all the time. I've done it in the middle of scenes," Bale told GQ magazine. "In 'Batman Begins,' in the first scene I had with Michael Caine and Morgan Freeman, I fell asleep. I was meant to be waking up, so I laid down and just fell asleep." He continued: "I didn't hear 'action' so Michael and Morgan were talking and I was supposed to join in. I woke up with Michael Caine poking me in the ribs, going, 'Look at that! He's bloody fallen asleep.'"

I'm not saying anything in the way of opinion on this, but:

He made himself sweat on cue during a scene with Willem Dafoe in AMERICAN PSYCHO. During every take - at the same time each time.

So, if he is supposed to be "awakened" during a scene, I can see him forcing himself to sleep because he's trying to be as method as possible.

Can't say I blame him. If I was tired enough and my head hit a comfy pillow, I'd be out in seconds regardless of what I needed to do during the scene.
